Mobility as a Service, unified management of access and payments within the framework of mobility through user geolocation at the destination
Mobility as a Service (MaaS) is a solution that integrates, through a single service provider, the entire mobility offer for a destination: public transport, taxi, car hire, shared vehicles and bicycles. The application uses mobile phone locations to run, using techniques to save battery life. To meet the needs of its user, the app:
• Designs the best route to move around the destination as it has simultaneous access to all the available means of transport, both public and private.
• Offers an integrated payment and access platform.
• Solves the last-mile problem by offering alternative and additional means of transport. The app currently has three different levels of service: Whim to Go, Whim Urban and Whim Unlimited. The user can pay each time they use the service (pay as you go) or sign up for a daily or monthly subscription which covers all the means of transport in the city.
