The Council of Allande is located in the interior of the Comarca Vaqueira in Asturias, with a mountainous relief whose highest peak is the Pico Panchón (1,410 m), and extends over an area of more than 340 km², bordering Galicia.
Its territory is divided by the Sierra de Los Lagos mountain range into two distinct cultural and linguistic areas, known as Palo P’aco and Palo Páló, with the Puerto del Palo as a border.
A council that will make you feel its magic in different ways. Enjoy walking a stage of the Primitive Way of St. James, discovering hidden corners in the spectacular landscapes of its routes and stargazing in the first Starlight-certified sky in Asturias. Savour authentic traditional Asturian food, stroll through Pola de Allande, one of Spain’s Magic Towns, and discover historic monuments such as the Castro de San Chuis.
