Cañete de las Torres is an Andalusian town in the province of Córdoba. With a population close to 3 thousand inhabitants.
Its economy is based mainly on the primary sector (olive groves, cereals and cotton), along with the olive oil, cereal and commerce industry; and in tourism, highlighting events such as its Cañete en flor festival.
Cañete de las Torres is promoted as a Botanical Village, understood as a public space and community meeting place, incorporating criteria of sustainability, biodiversity and climate change prevention.
Also standing out in rural and cultural tourism for its medieval Castle.

| Outstanding initiatives

- Its Urban Agenda strategy is implemented in 2023 in the interests of sustainable management and the promotion of the circular and urban economy.
- Since April 2023, the town has had a Punto Vuela, a public center designed to lead the digital transformation in Cañete de las Torres and a remodeled municipal library. All these facilities in the same municipal building called “Edificio España”.
- They are in the process of marking botanical itineraries through the town to decentralize visits to the town based on the Botanical Village of Cañete de las Torres project.
- In the near future, Cañete de las Torres will have a tourist office that will be located in the town’s Castle. This building, declared an Asset of Cultural Interest, has become an eminently cultural building housing the ethnographic museum and the municipal historical museum of the municipality.
- In the process of creating an Environmental Center for education and awareness about sustainability along with a municipal nursery and experiential workshops with plants and flowers.
