L’Urgell is a region located in the plain of Lleida, in a rural environment, full of cultural and landscape values, ideal for those looking for calm and the enjoyment of authentic villages and landscapes.
You will be able to distinguish between places with their own unique character that we invite you to discover: the Corb river valley, the Ondara river basin, the banks of the Sió river and the area of the Urgell plain.
The capital of Urgell is Tàrrega, which together with Agramunt and Bellpuig bring together much of the economic and cultural activity.
History has left a strong mark with such important architectural jewels as the Cistercian Monastery of Vallbona de les Monges, the convent of St. Bartomeu and the Mausoleum of Ramón de Cardona in Bellpuig or the Romanesque Church of Santa Maria de Agramunt. These cultural assets are strengthened with interesting museum facilities, the celebration of fairs and popular festivals, gastronomy and crafts, deeply rooted in the region. Signposted routes for walking or cycling are a good way to discover the charm of nature at any time of the year.
