La Oliva - Smart Tourist Destination

The municipality of La Oliva is located in the North of the island of Fuerteventura. It has an area of 356.13 km2 including the islet of Lobos.

It is a modern and dynamic municipality marked by its wild nature, its special geography, the warmth of its climate and its colors.

Sky blue its sea, white the foam when it bathes its coasts, black the lava of its volcanoes, green its palm trees but also its crystalline waters sometimes turquoise, golden its very fine beach sands, ocher its dunes and its interior landscapes, orange its sunsets Sun.

Admission to the Smart Tourism Destinations Programme

La Oliva joined the Smart Tourism Destinations programme through the preparation of the Diagnostic Report and Action Plan for the transformation of it into a Smart Tourist Destination, carried out in December 2023.

Outstanding initiatives

Participation in the ECO-TUR2 Project together with other Canarian tourist destinations for the development of a sustainable tourism sector.
Specific Professional Training Center in tourism in collaboration with the European Hospitality School and the Association of Tourism Companies and Entrepreneurs of Fuerteventura.
