Llanes, located on the eastern coast of Asturias, is one of the main tourist destinations in the North. It has countless attractions, among which stands out an old town declared a Historic-Artistic Site with the walls and the tower from the 13th century and the Basilica (13th century-15th century), as well as palaces and stately mansions, the fishing port in which includes Los Cubos de la Memoria, the work of the Basque artist Agustín Ibarrola, and the Paseo de San Pedro located on cliffs and offering a wonderful panoramic view of the town, the coast and the nearby Sierra del Cuera.
In the Council there are more than 30 beaches, spaces declared Natural Monuments such as the Cobijero complex or Gulpiyuri beach, jesters such as Arenillas and Pría and various hiking routes along the coast or inland. The offer is completed with a varied gastronomy in which cheeses and fish and seafood stand out, and a rich folklore with several festivals declared of tourist interest.
