In the southernmost part of the Costa Brava lies the town of Lloret de Mar.
Aside from having deep seafaring roots, today it is one of the main tourist hubs in the province of Girona.
Beaches and coves with crystal-clear waters combine with a fascinating old quarter and a wide range of accommodation and leisure activities. Hiking, golf and water sports are just a few of the options available pretty much all year round due to the excellent climate of the Mediterranean.
There are also terraces, bars and restaurants where you can enjoy the Catalan night and taste the region’s finest produce.

Lloret de Mar joined the Smart Tourism Destinations programme by drawing up the Diagnostic Report and Action Plan needed to turn it into a Smart Destination, which it carried out in September 2015. |

- Creation of a working group tasked with deploying a fibre optic network throughout Lloret de Mar.
