Frías, Oña and Poza de la Sal, form the setting of the Raíces de Castilla Commonwealth. These three centers share their own hallmarks such as the natural environment, the cultural heritage and the medieval fabric of their urban centres.
The small city of Frías, the town of Condal de Oña and the salt town of Poza de la Sal are located between the Burgos regions of La Bureba and Las Merindades. Castles, walls, churches, monasteries and salt mines are part of a great medieval legacy.
But the natural environment also offers walking alternatives for visitors with a set of seven marked and signposted hiking routes.
