The diagnosis process and action plan for Stiges Smart Tourist Destination started on 10 March 2022 and ended on 2 December 2022.

Outstanding initiatives

There is a Strategic Tourism Plan and a Tourism Marketing Plan in place.
Events are held throughout the year to deseasonalise tourist demand and highlight local culture and identity; and offer an attractive activity for both locals and tourists and visitors.
In its commitment to tourism sustainability, it has the Biosphere Gold Certification.
Dashboard of tourism data and tourism intelligence.
Focus on seasonal adjustment with the Sitges Convention Bureau.
New tourism products based on gamification and destination diversification.
There is a Tourism Advisory Council, with the private tourism sector as a member.
There is a Special Plan for the Protection of Sitges’ Architectural Heritage.
The beaches are accessible to people with disabilities.
