Talavera de la Reina is known worldwide for its ceramics, the process of making it is recognized as intangible heritage of humanity by UNESCO.
To highlight, the city has visitable ceramic workshops, the Route of Ceramic Murals, the historic center: Plaza del Pan Wall, Ethnographic Museum and Ruiz de Luna Museum with ceramic collections and the Wall. Equally important are the Prado gardens and the Basilica known as the Sistine Chapel of Ceramics.
There are canoe routes along the Tagus River as well as routes of mysteries and legends, hiking and dramatized routes such as the Two Queens.
Every year the International Jazz Festival and the international film festival – Premios Pavez are held.
