“The Interreg MED Programme has created a manual for public authorities and tourism stakeholders in the Mediterranean on funding opportunities for projects that contribute to sustainable tourism. This funding leverages two of the most important EU finance instruments, the Recovery and Resilience Fund (RRF) and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). They offer important financing opportunities for tourism at the local and regional level. The guide aims to inspire and advise readers to better prepare to use these funds at the regional and local level.

The manual is one of the capitalisation results of the Interreg MED Sustainable Tourism Community. The community is a horizontal project of INTERREG MED. It is studying, testing and capitalising on innovative instruments and actions to improve the sustainability of tourism in the Mediterranean region, through 30 modular projects that bring together more than 200 organisations.”
